Here's a commission for my good friend Grant, who's using this in a pitch to Darkhorse. When it gets the green light be sure to pick up the book as the story is excellent, not to mention the art done by Federico Zumel. I went with a different feel to the line up this time, opting for a richer bg to match the character's palettes. The characters on the right, are actually reincarnated from the 16th century characters on the left. Very cool indeed! Cheers

Poor Toshiro, reincarnated as Willy Lowman's animated corpse (unless I see otherwise, the guy looks like a ghost or a zombie). This should prove interesting.

Hee, the monk reincarnated as the little black kid reminds me of a movie I saw about 3 different kids being incarnations of one monk (Mind: Indian girl; Body: Indian? boy, and Soul: USA kid), along with Keanu Reeves as Buddha (seriously).

I think the movie you're talking about is "Little Buddha". We talked about that film in my Religions class.

Personally, it reminds me of the "HellBoy" cartoon that was on TV a few months ago, but I can see what you mean with the sharp angles in the character design.
