Dirk! Save ME! by DanSchoening Dirk! Save ME! by DanSchoening
Today marks the 30th Anniversary of a game who's animation inspired me to be where I am today. I was able to play Dragon's Lair in the arcade when it debuted in 1983, and it devoured my entire stack of quarters. Being very young, I wasn't that good at the game, but I could stare and watch others play it for hours on end. To celebrate this momentous occasion, my morning sketches (you can tell due to the coffee in Dirk and the Giddy Goon's hands, lol) have been devoted to Dragon's Lair this week. I will update this submission tomorrow and Friday with two new sketches, so keep your peepers peeled! Cheers!

You know for years and years people talk about the hottest video females and Daphne rarely comes up.
And that's a shameful thing.

I have Dragon's Lair on my Ipad and every time I play it, it drags me back to the old days when I'd walk in an arcade and hear those specific sounds coming from the machine and I'd dart right over to it.

A couple of years ago I found a triple dvd pack with this and space ace. I still suck at it, but man is it fun.

Love this game, and most of Don Bluth's work!

I never played in the Arcade. The first I played it was on the that took a long time to load each room...and then you die, and wait again...but I was hooked non the less!
