Screw Attack by DanSchoening Screw Attack by DanSchoening
Here's this years Nintendo Montage! Screw Attack'd (said in Strong Bad's voice)!

A few reasons why this one was more of a challenge than the previous sets. One, was that it is quite difficult to simplify the designs from the Metroid series, especially the Prime designs. Two, a lot of the enemies are HUGE! I had to let a few slide just to fit these on the stage. Can't let it get too over crowded ya know ;) Overall it was a great challenge.

Thanks to all that voted in the poll I posted about the next montage. I will be using that as a guide to do the next few sets.

Hope you all dig this. Prime is easily one of my all time favorite games. This one goes out to Sakamoto-san, Kiyotake-san and Retro studios!

Cheers,

Dan

The deviation is extremely good even if a little troo crowded (because of the issues you mentioned) and for that less effective than your other Nintendo fanarts of this series.
You know, in my opinion Metroid is one of the most suitable Nintendo franchises for this kind of stylization because of its pulp style. In a potential attempt to render something similar to the artistical approach of the 2D games a restyling similar to this one (maybe just a little less cartoony) would fit it way better than the dull artistic direction of Other M.

I love how you always put in characters from all the generations in these fanarts. That way they don't become just nostalgic pieces. Seeing all those Prime (by far my favourite) bosses in particular surprised me... even the Hunters from the third! Cool.

Yeah, online matches weren't bad but overall it wasn't even a Metroid game. I'm not missing its characters, to be honest.

Well,I played it a lot because I dont have a Wii/Gamecube to play the other 3,and when I got a Wii(and Metroid Prime Trilogy),circunstaces that you better not know made me have to trow the Wii aside.
